Computer Maintenance
|
|
By Mike Marinaro Backup Often
The most important word for you to
remember is
BACKUP! You need to constantly backup your
important files in case something should happen to
your computer. You can backup to a floppy disk, a
cd, another harddrive, or zipdisk etc. Just make sure
you do it regularly.
Dust is Your Computer's Enemy
One of the worst things for your computer is dust!
You should open the
case of your
computer every
couple of months and blow the dust out. (More often
if your computer is in a real dusty area.) Make
sure your computer is turned off when you open the
case. Use a can of compressed air to blow the dust
off all the
circuit boards and fans etc. Also use the compressed
air on your keyboard.

without any
real understanding of just how vulnerable you really
are each
time you log onto your computer.
You now have the opportunity to discover what
steps you can
take to avoid such an annoying and many times
destructive
infestation.
Listed below are some of the guidelines you can

Ten Simple Ways To Beat Computer Eyestrain
|
|
By Tanya Turner
If you work in an office, do your eyes hurt by the end
of the
working day? You aren't alone: about 88% of all
people who work
with computers experience a type of eyestrain known
as Computer
Vision Syndrome (CVS). After all, a computer screen
isn't
exactly the most natural thing to look at. Perhaps a
couple of
thousands of years of evolution would solve the
problem -- but I
am sure you aren't prepared to wait this long.
Fortunately there
are a few simple things you can do to minimize
computer
eyestrain.
